Happy June Everyone

Hi everyone, this is Keila blogging.  I'm still doing my usual stuff (mostly sleeping).  Anyways, I can't believe it's June already.  I'm so ready for the weather to be nice so I can start walking more often and burn off some pounds that I've been accumulating from hibernation. I heard some talk from my owners about going around Portland and checking out some parks, I hope it will be soon because I love parks; especially trees.

London: Portabello Market Duo

In the antiques part of Portabello Market, there were many specialty vintage camera store which just made me drool.  It's not fair that there's no place like this in Portland.  It's amazing how a dealer could have all these old cameras.  I bought one of these cameras just to keep me sane and the cool thing is that it came with the original leather camera bag.

I still can't get over the fact how crowded the streets were that day.  Incredible

London: Portabello Market Uno

Portabello Market in London was another one of my favorite places I went to.  Especially the part of the market where there were many antique vendors and stores.  I could just bring a sleeping bag and live in Portabello Market; that is how much I love that place.  There were definitely many vintage and antiques items that I wanted to get, some were affordable while some were quite expensive.  Some of the items I purchased was a vintage camera and old printing letter blocks.  In the picture above, there was a store called Stumper&Fielding which is a cool clothing/items store.  Mostly I like their name, very similar to Random&Keila.

Again, the whole day we were there, the streets were constantly crowded like in the picture above. Incredible.

There were seven sections that make up Portabello Market.  It took us the whole day to reach the end of the market. 

Vintage Car Issue: London

There were a couple cool classic cars that I saw when I was walking towards Portabello Road from Notting Hill Gate.  I love the red mini cooper above, probably my favorite. Below is another cool old car, but I don't know what brand it was.  Finally the last car is not even a classic car, but Ferrari's are still cool and it's in gray, my favorite color. 

London: Notting Hill

On the first Saturday of our trip to London, my sister in law took us to Portabello Market which is one of the biggest and well-known markets in London.  So before we can reached Portabello Market, we stopped in the Notting Hill station by the tube and walked about four blocks to reach Portabello Road which it isn't even the start of the actual market.  Overall, the whole market from end to end is about two miles and it took us literally the whole day to reach the other end of the market because of all the people coming out on Saturday.  But the experience is amazing, I personally was excited to go here because I have heard that they had many vintage items such as vintage cameras.  I ended up getting a couple cool things with some interesting stories behind it which I will post later.  Other than than, if for some reason you end up in London, you will want to visit Portabello Market for the experience.

London: Regent's Park

Adjacent to Primose Hill is the Regent's Park which is also another cool city park in London.  The cool thing about this park is that it has a bit of everything in it.  There are huge spaces where kids can run around in, a canal with cool boats in it, a flower garden, tennis courts and a lake with cool trees around it; you get the point.  It's just a huge city park. 

London: Primose Hill

From Chalk Farm, we walked towards Primose Hill which is a nice park in London and located in one of the more nicer and expensive parts of London.  We walked along Regent Parkway from Chalk Farm and passed many upscale local stores.  Very nice, but very expensive.  

Finally we reached Primose Hill.  A must go to park for photographers because you there is one point at the top of the hill where you can get a very nice view of London.  The park itself is nice, big, and lots of dogs running around in it.   After walking around a lot, it was nice to relax in Primose Hill.
